Adhesive Putty. Fills, Rebuilds and Bonds

Safety Precautions

Wash hands thoroughly after use.

Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, free from grease and oil and dry. For better adhesion, slightly roughen the surface with a wire brush or sandpaper prior to cleaning. Take one (or more, as necessary) Loctite Go2 Repair Putty piece. Remove the transparent film and knead the white and beige parts together for 1 minute until a mass which is uniform white in color is formed. The white component is on the outside and the beige component is in the center of the putty stick. Pre-test in a hidden area if using on lacquered surfaces to check bonding.

Application

For best results, the bonds should be prepared at room temperature 59°F – 86°F (15°C – 30°C)

GLUE: Apply the kneaded putty mass to one of the surfaces to be bonded. Bring the pieces together, align and apply firm pressure to ensure intimate contact with both surfaces within 3 minutes of mixing.

FILL: Apply the kneaded mass into the crack or hole. Work putty firmly into the crack or hole. Smooth the surface and leave to cure. The surface can be sanded, drilled or painted after 15 minutes. For a smooth finish, rub the putty with a damp cloth prior to hardening.

REBUILD: Using the kneaded mass, mold the desired shape by hand within 3 minutes of mixing. Leave to cure. Working time is approximately 5 minutes. After 15 minutes, the putty can be sanded, drilled or painted.

Cleanup

Remove residues of Go2 Repair Adhesive Putty from tools and work area using a solvent cleaner. Once hardened, residues must be removed mechanically.
