- Cut freeform designs from foam sheets to create animal shapes, flowers, or whatever image you want. Glue these shapes to small wooden blocks to create stamps. You can even use toothpicks or cloth and glue them to the foam for added texture. Put a small amount of poster paint on a plate and dip the stamps into them. Now press onto white paper for a fun design.
- Get your kids interested in gardening by cutting out plant shapes to match what’s in your garden. Paint them or glue pictures to the foam. Then continue to cut out small details like wings and black dots for eyes and glue them to the ladybug until you have a finished product you’re happy with. Let the glue dry then test them out.
Whatever project you decide on, you will need the right glue. Make sure to choose a glue that is compatible with foam and that doesn’t have a strong smell.
