Make sure that you are ready to support your team or favorite players on their next outing with some creative and unique soccer fan signs.
Use the steps below to make eye-popping soccer signs.
1. Get the necessary supplies: You will need:
- Circular cardstock
- Loctite Super Glue Ultra Liquid Control
- Markers
- Sheets of white paper
- Paintbrush
- Paint
- Scissors
2. Trace hexagons on the cardstock: Draw a hexagon on a white piece of paper and cut it out. Use this shape to trace multiple identical hexagons over the circular cardstock. To save time, print these shapes instead of tracing them.
3. Paint the hexagons: Create a soccer ball pattern on the cardstock by painting the hexagons black and white. Identify which hexagons are black and white, then use a paintbrush to fill in the black ones. Give the paint time to dry.
4. Create a cutout of your message and images: Decide which characters you want to display on your custom soccer signs, then trace them onto colored paper. Carefully cut out the characters (logos, images, and letters) with scissors.
5. Attach stick-on characters: Use super glue to carefully stick the letters to the finished cardstock “soccer balls.” Allow your creation to dry completely before taking it with you to the soccer game. Loctite Super Glue Ultra Liquid Control sets in 15 to 30 seconds and cures completely in 24 hours.
Soccer banners are more than just letters and images hung on a mast. They allow fans to express their love and support for the team. Banners can convey important information or statistics about the team, promote soccer events, or show a fan’s passion for the game.
While you can order a banner from a vendor, creating a DIY banner is enjoyable and lets you express your message in a personal and unique way.
Make your own soccer banner by following these steps.
1. Stock up on supplies: For this project, you will need:
- Paint/colors
- Loctite Super Glue Ultra Liquid Control
- Paper/tarp
- Poles (wood or PVC pipes)
- Thread and needle
2. Decide what you want: Before creating a banner, take some time to determine important details like size, messaging, images, and colors.
3. Choose materials: If you want to create a banner that players can run through, make sure to use the right type of paper. However, if you want a highly durable banner that is inexpensive, waterproof, and lightweight, a tarp might be a better option.
4. Create cutouts of images and words: Draw or print the team logo, images, and/or words on paper, then cut them out. Use paint or colors to add a vibrant or decorative touch to the cutouts. Remember to use large characters to make sure the banner is easy to read.
5. Attach the cutouts to the tarp/paper: Once the cutouts are ready, use super glue to stick them to the tarp or your preferred paper type.
6. Attach the poles: Use thread and a needle or strong glue to hem a fold at the top or both sides of the tarp. Attach poles (PVC pipes or wood) to the banner and stretch it out.
7. Display the banner: After the banner is ready, select the ideal spot for display. Make sure the poles are securely supported.
Use modular origami to create your own paper soccer ball at home.
Complete this exciting soccer ball craft project with the following steps.
1. Gather supplies: You will need:
- Black and white square pieces of paper
- Loctite Super Glue Ultra Gel Control
- Scissors
Useful tip: Use brightly colored pieces of paper to add a little flair to your project.
2. Cut the paper to size: Trim the paper down to approximately 10 cm by 10 cm with a pair of scissors. Alternatively, you can skip cutting by buying the right-sized paper from the beginning.
3. Fold the paper into desired shapes: You will need to carefully fold the paper into the required number of hexagonal or pentagonal pieces (depending on the desired paper ball size).
4. Put the ball together: Once you have folded all the pieces, fit them together, one by one, using a reliable glue, such as Loctite Super Glue Ultra Gel Control. To achieve the perfect soccer ball appearance, ensure that each black piece is surrounded by white pieces on all sides. No black piece (pentagon) should be next to another black piece.
Pro tip: Fill the ball with shredded paper to keep it from collapsing in on itself.
