Give your locker a cozy feel with a carpet. For a soccer feel, you can make the carpet from a piece of green turf.
Create an artificial turf locker carpet with the following steps:
1. Supplies:
- Artificial turf
- Scissors
- Tape measure
- Fun-Tak Mounting Putty
2. Measure the locker: To achieve the best look, start by measuring your locker’s floor dimensions.
3. Cut the turf to size: Use the measurements to cut a piece of artificial turf that fits the available space exactly.
4. Secure the turf: To keep the turf from shifting, stick it to the bottom of the locker with several tabs of mounting putty.
Create a soccer-themed pencil holder in a few simple steps and use it to enhance your overall setup.
Make a DIY soccer pencil holder with these steps:
1. Supplies:
- Duct tape
- Empty toothpaste box
- Scissors
- Fun-Tak Mounting Putty
- Loctite Spray Adhesive Multi-Purpose
2. Cut the box in half: Use a pair of scissors to cut the toothpaste box in half. Take the bottom half and tape any loose flaps securely so it stands up like a cup.
3. Cover the box with duct tape: Wrap the box with strips of tape starting at the bottom.
4. Add soccer details: Print out a piece of paper with soccer balls on it. You can also add the team colors of your favorite soccer team to the graphic. Cut out the soccer balls, apply Loctite Spray Adhesive Multi-Purpose, then stick them to three sides of the box.
5. Mount the box: Attach several tabs of mounting putty to the back of the box, then stick it to one of your locker walls.
Round out your locker decorations with a hanging miniature soccer ball for a cool disco ball effect.
Here’s how to make a miniature soccer ball:
1. Supplies:
- A keychain
- Polymer clay
- Loctite Fun-Tak Mounting Putty
- Loctite Super Glue Ultra Gel Control
2. Create a central sphere: Start by rolling a big sphere about 1 inch in diameter.
3. Make the small spheres: Roll out two equal strips of black and white clay. Use a utility knife to cut the strips into small pieces about 0.2 inches long. Roll each piece into a tiny ball.
4. Assemble the ball: Attach one black ball to the larger sphere, then surround it with five white balls to create a classic soccer patch pattern. Repeat this process until the entire sphere is covered. Then roll the ball in your hand or on a smooth surface until it is smooth and spherical.
5. Attach a keychain: Drill a small hole in the ball, apply a drop of Loctite Super Glue Ultra Gel Control, and insert one end of the keychain into the hole. Allow it to cure completely (about 12 hours).
Note: Super glue should not be used by children.
6. Mount the ball: Use a tab of Fun-Tak Mounting Putty to attach the other end of the keychain to the roof of your locker.
Instead of a bland piece of wallpaper, decorate the sides of the locker with a mix of soccer photos, team badges, jersey numbers, team mascot images, and other items.
Make soccer-themed stickers with these steps:
1. Supplies:
- Scissors
- Soccer action photos, team mascot images, badges, and jersey numbers printed on cardstock
- A piece of soccer net
- Tape measure
- Fun-Tak Mounting Putty
2. Download and print the images: Scour the internet, download, and print the photos you want to display in your locker. Ensure you choose a size that fits your locker.
3. Make cutouts: Trim the printed images with a pair of scissors.
4. Stick the images in place: Use Fun-Tak Mounting Putty to attach them to the locker wall(s).
5. Mount the soccer net over the stickers: Measure the locker wall and cut a piece of soccer net to match those dimensions. Using several tabs of mounting putty, hang the net on the decorated side of the locker.
An excellent alternative to tape and magnets, Fun-Tak Mounting Putty is a long-lasting, removable adhesive designed for hanging lightweight objects. This product does not chip paint and remains pliable even with multiple uses.
To hang locker décor using this adhesive, follow these steps:
- Ensure the surfaces are clean and dry.
- Pinch off the desired amount of putty (about 4 tabs for 1lb).
- Roll the putty between your fingers until soft and warm.
- Attach it to the object to be mounted, then press it firmly to the surface.
