Resetting masonry anchors in a loose porch railing

Artificial Content Title -- to be hidden

Wear and tear through time and weather will loosen anchor bolts holding vertical railing posts to their base in concrete porches or stairs. Loctite® Metal and Concrete Epoxy is a high strength, two-part system to reset anchor bolts and fill gaps between metal and concrete.

Step-by-Step Directions

  1. Remove anchor bolts from the loose support posts and clean dirt or loose concrete from the bolts and holes.

  2. Dispense equal parts of the resin and hardener in a disposable container and mix until uniform (approx. 1 minute). If needed, tint mix with cement or sand for color matching.

  3. Insert the anchor bolts into the holes and fill with the mixed epoxy compound. (Make sure anchors are straight and undistributed while repair sets and hardens – 24 hours).

  4. Reattach railing to anchor bolts.
